Within HMS, all work orders must have a reason code. The reason codes for a client for a given property can vary based on established business processes. Configuration to ensure valid reason codes are utilized on work orders generated in EAM for HMS properties must be done manually.
The set of HMS reason codes should be used to enter EAM user codes for the system code of Breakdown ("BR"). EAM navigation to accomplish this is Administration / Setup / System Codes with a selection of Type and entity of "JBTP." If additional HMS reason codes are added after initial configuration, these new codes will have to be manually added to EAM also.
