Permits to work must be signed by a user to indicate they accept and understand the hazards and precautions, as defined on the permit to work. Users who do not have a user ID, usually contractors, can sign their name, enter a date and time, and add additional remarks using the Contractor Sign Off button.

  1. Select Work > Permit to Work > Permit to Work.

  2. Select the permit to work to sign, and then click the Contractor Sign Off button to display the Contractor Sign Off window.

  3. Specify this information:

    Name - Specify the name of the contractor signing the permit to work.

    Date - Specify the date and time.

  4. Optionally, specify this information:

    Signature Type - Specify the type of the signature entered.

    Remark - Enter any remarks about the permit to work.

    Company - Specify the company where the contractor is employed.

    Responsibility - Specify the responsibility of the contractor.

  5. Click Submit.

    Optionally, click Submit and Add Another to submit the signature and add another.

    Optionally, click Reset to clear all fields.

    Optionally, click Cancel to close the window.
