On the Parts tab of the Compatible Units Library screen, a user is able to specify an unlimited quantity of materials (parts) to be associated with the compatible unit library record. On this tab, both Part and Quantity are required fields. Only parts that have been made as available for compatible units will be displayed in the Part lookup on this tab.

In addition to specifying a specific Part to be used; a user may optionally specify a Store from which the part is available, particularly when pricing for parts has been set to occur at the store level. When a part is associated to a compatible units library record, the system considers the CU Standard Price defined for the part on the Parts > Prices tab, if the PRICELEV install parameter is set to "P". If the PRICELEV install parameter is set to "S", then the CU Standard Price defined on the Stores tab of the Parts screen for a specified store (or the default store of the department specified on the compatible units library record header) is used in determining costs. In both scenarios, the system defaults CU Price as the Base Price for the part if no valid value can be found for CU Standard Price (on either the Prices tab or the Stores tab, based on PRICELEV). In addition, should the user wish to manually override the CU price; a value may be specified in the Price Override field. If selected, the Perform Reservation checkbox will trigger the system to create a part reservation if the part is selected to be included for a work order activity, when activities are generated from an approved CU estimate.

Much like the Labor tab, the Parts tab of the Compatible Units Library screen provides the ability for the user to specify parts for the compatible units library record which apply only under specific scenarios/circumstances. When entering a part record, the user may also specify Action Type and up to ten possible Materials Adjustment fields (Materials Adjustment 0-9).
