Compatible Units in HxGN EAM refers to a collection of features that support the ability for users to perform estimation of projects using standard templates that describe combinations of labor, parts and materials, tools, and external services required for the completion of routine work according to different scenarios.
This brief describes the underlying principles and function of compatible units in HxGN EAM.
Compatible units features are being implemented in multiple phases over several releases of HxGN EAM. This release of HxGN EAM provides the third phase of compatible units features; and introduces one additional data setup screen, the GL Accounting Setup screen. A new tab was added in this release to display associated Compatible Units for the Work Orders screen, and multiple enhancements were made to the work order activity generation process. As future releases introduce further enhancements to compatible units functionality, there may be further changes to the associated screens and processes for this feature.
