The reliability test ensures the product remains reliable over time with realistic user loads. User profiles were defined to simulate actual usage of a customer with a large implementation. Hewlett Packard’s LoadRunner tool was used to simulate users that exercised a set of the HxGN EAM application functionality. Transaction rates of simulated users were governed to match actual transaction rates being observed at HxGN’s Hosting Center. The LoadRunner tool was used to simulate a user level of 200 users for the application server test. Load average graph, performance result at start of the test and end of test and number of transactions per hour were captured and reported.
This test was done using a bandwidth of 1000MB and latency of 2ms. Please refer to the section Bandwidth / Latency test for data on other bandwidths.
