If the FTR Main Server is located on a different computer from the SmartPlant Foundation server, you must identify the FTR Main Server to the SmartPlant Foundation server. Use the Administration > FTR > Server Configuration command in the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client to update the FTR server properties as appropriate. If you need to process data in regional languages, set the Regional and Language Options of your operating system and the FTR server locale settings, such as Locale List, Character Code, Default Locale, and Attribute Locale, to reflect your local language; and use an appropriate localized ftmf filter provided with FTR for relevant object types. For documents to be indexed, set a filter to their object file type. For instructions, see Setting Filter for Object File Type.
