This example shows how to use FTR with Directa to search for text inside a SmartSketch file using the Content Search command. You can also use the Quick Search command. The text in the SmartSketch file must be indexed in FTR. SmartPlant Markup Plus must be installed on the FTR server to index SmartSketch files.

  1. Click the Search > Content command.

  2. Use the Word Wheel to view the words that have been indexed in the FTR collection.

  3. Select the word or words you want to use in your search. Use the And Selection and Or Selection buttons as needed, and fill in any other parameters you want to use in your search.

  4. Click OK.

The Work Item Objects result browser displays showing the files that fit your search.

The Word Wheel is a feature of FTR in Directa only. SmartPlant Foundation does not use the Word Wheel.

  5. Click the SmartSketch file you want to open. Other types of files will also display if they contain the "search" text.
