In addition to the search criteria a user enters, a Content Search in Directa uses additional features such as thesaurus files and proximity control.

Click Content from the Search menu in Directa Manager.

Use the dialog to create a search based on the following search criteria. You can specify information for all appropriate fields to construct the most efficient search.

Although an asterisk (*) can be used by itself or as the leading character when performing a search using FTR, it is recommended to use a character to the left of this operator to enhance performance.

Description

Text Search

Search for these words or phrases in the specified object.

Apply search to object description?

Include or exclude the object's description in the search.

Thesaurus

Apply a thesaurus file to the search. Click the box to the right of the field for a list of available thesaurus files.

Proximity

Limits the proximity in number of characters for search terms joined by the And (&) operator.

Fuzzy Logic

Sets the intensity of fuzzy logic. The default value is fuzzy off.

Word Wheel

An automatically generated word wheel listing of all indexed words. You can select words and use the buttons below the word wheel to construct search text using the And (&) and Or (|) Boolean operators.

Display Words

Allows you to enter a root word or specify characters for the Word Wheel. The default value is all alphabetic characters.

Owner

Specify a user or vault.

Baselined?

Type true to search only for locked objects. Type false to search for objects that are not locked. A blank field searches for all objects.

Superseded?

Type true to search only for superseded objects. Type false to search for objects that are not superseded. A blank field searches for all objects.

Checked out?

Type true to search only for objects that are checked out. Type false to search for objects that are not checked out. A blank field searches for all objects.

Externally Managed

Indicates whether the work item is currently managed by a different process (other than Directa). Valid values are True and False. This field is optional.

Maximum to Retrieve

Limits the number of items returned by the search.

Current Workflow

Specifies the workflow that the work item is associated with. Can contain up to 30 characters. This field is optional.

LC Rev

Specifies the revision of the workflow that the work item is in. Can contain up to 15 characters. This field is optional.

Started

The started toggle is an internal attribute that indicates whether or not the process has been started. Valid values are True and False. This field is optional.

And/Or Selection

Designates the And (&) and Or (|) Boolean operators for use with the Word Wheel terms.

Original Creator

Specifies the original creator of the items.

Original Creation Date (from)

Specifies the earliest creation date for the items.

Original Creation Date (to)

Specifies the latest creation date for the items.
