To support search in regional languages, such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, you must customize locale settings as follows:
-
If your operating system is in English, you need to set the Regional and Language Options. If you are already using a localized operating system, skip this step.
-
From Control Panel, open Regional and Language Options.
-
On the Regional Options tab, select your regional language for Standards and formats.
-
On the Advanced tab, select your regional language for Language for non-Unicode programs.
For example, to support Japanese, you must select Japanese for the above settings.
-
-
Use an appropriate localized ftmf filter for documents that contain text in regional languages. For instructions, see Setting Filter for Object File Type.
