EcoSys Version
8.8

In the 8.7 and prior versions a single calendar was assigned while configuring a chart in the General tab and the same calendar would be applied to all the cost objects or tasks for the chart.

Starting in 8.8. you can now assign a calendar to individual objects (Cost objects/Task/Resource) through Calendar Assignments.

When the scheduler runs, EcoSys will look for an object calendar based on the priority for Cost objects, Tasks, and Resources.

Calendar Assignment

Cost Object

Scheduler runs and checks if the calendar is assigned to the cost object directly

If the calendar is not assigned, the scheduler looks up to the hierarchy and checks for the calendar assignment to its parent object ( or any of its parents until it reaches the root

If the calendar is not assigned to the parent, it looks for the calendar on the General tab of the configuration

If the calendar is still not found, an error is displayed.

Task

Scheduler runs and checks if the calendar is assigned to the Task directly

If the calendar is not assigned, it looks for the calendar assignment to the owner cost object of the task

If the calendar is not assigned to the owner cost object of the task, it looks for the calendar assignment to the owner cost object parent (or any of its parents until it reaches the root

If the calendar is not found, it looks for the calendar at the General tab of the configuration

If the calendar is still not found, an error is displayed.

Resource

Scheduler runs and checks if the calendar is assigned to the Resource directly

If the calendar is not assigned, the scheduler looks up to the hierarchy and checks for the calendar assignment to its parent object ( or any of its parents until it reaches the root

If the calendar is not assigned to the parent, it looks for the calendar at the General tab of the configuration

If the calendar is still not found, an error is displayed.
