A project charter is a short document that explains the project in clear and concise wording for high level management. Project charter outlines the entirety of a project to help teams quickly understand the goals, tasks, timelines, and stakeholders.
Project Charter is used to:

update the general information about the project, for example, stake holders information.

set the scope, objectives and milestones of the project.

document the relationships between the project and the organizational strategy.
This procedure allows you to provide the details of a project in the Project Charter.

Navigate to Projects > Project Charter.

At the top of the screen, in the green parameter bar, click the Project ellipsis to select the required project.

Type in the below details:

Project Name - Type the project name.

Project Sponsor - Enter the project sponsor.

Date Prepared - Select the project charter preparation date.

Project Manager - Click the ellipsis to select the project manager.

Project Customer - Enter the project customer name.
-
Project Purpose/Justification - Type the purpose of the project.

Project Description - Type the project description.
-
High-Level Requirements - Type the high-level requirements of the project.

High-Level Risks - Type the high-level risks for the project.

At the top of the left-hand side section, in the green parameter bar, click SAVE.

Type in the scope details:

Scope Objectives
-
Scope Success Criteria
-
Approver
-
If the scope details are completely captured, select the Complete check box.

Type in the cost details:

Cost Objectives
-
Cost Success Criteria
-
Approver
-
If the cost details are completely captured, select the Complete check box.

Type in the time details:

Time Objectives
-
Time Success Criteria
-
Approver
-
If the time details are completely captured, select the Complete check box.

Type in the other details:

Other Objectives

Other Success Criteria

Approver
-
If the other details are completely captured, select the Complete check box.

At the top of the right-hand side section, in the green parameter bar, click SAVE.

In the Project Milestones panel, click the Insert Row icon to add a new row.

Type in the Milestone.
-
Click the Type ellipsis to select the type of milestone.
-
Double-click the Due Date ellipsis to select the due date of the project milestone.

Click SAVE.
Click the Delete Row(s) icon to delete a selected row.
