A new Contract Line Item can be created via execution of an action. A new Contract Line Item is created by selecting an existing Contract, a Contract Line Name supplied by the user, a Line ID generated by the system and a Project-specific WBS item selected by the user. Out-of-the-box functionality assumes that the EcoSys Projects is also installed, and that the Contract Line Item will be associated with a Project WBS Item.

Navigate to Contracts > Contract Lines.

Click the Actions list and select Create New Contract Line.

Click the Contract ellipsis and select the required contract. By default, the last selected contract appears.

Click the Project ellipsis and select the required project.

Click the WBS ellipsis and select the required WBS.
You can select only those WBS for the selected project from which Contract Cost Control
Level is selected in the Project Structure screen.

Type the Contract Line Name.

Click RUN. A new contract appears on the Contract Lines Register tab.
