If you want to set up one or more distributed servers after installing SmartPlant Foundation on the application server, follow the procedures in this book. Before setting up optional servers, you must have completed the setup of your application server. For details, see Application Server Installation and Setup for SmartPlant Foundation.
Each of the servers discussed here is optional. You may want to set up one or more of these servers for administrative reasons or to improve overall performance of the software on the network.
