For some delivered select lists, you are not allowed to add new entries. If you try to add a new entry to these select lists, a warning message appears.

  1. Select Select Entry on the left side of the main window.

  2. In Selected list, choose the appropriate select list.

SHARED Tip If you selected a list in the Select List view before you selected Select Entry, existing entries for the selected list appear by default.

  3. In the last (empty) row of the Select Entry table, specify the Value, Short Value, and Dependent Value for the new entry.

Some delivered select lists have blank values. A row with a blank value has a box in the Disable column (shown by the red rectangle in the example below), whereas the last row (shown by the green rectangle) does not have a box in the Disable column.

Typing in a row with a blank value modifies that value; it does not create a new entry.

    • If a select list does not have a dependent list already defined in the Select List table, you cannot define dependent list entries in the Dependent Value column.

    • To define a dependent list, see Create a Select List.

  4. If you do not want the entry to be available in select lists in the design software, select the Disable column in the appropriate row. A check mark in the Disable column indicates that the list entry is not available in the design software. An empty check box indicates that the entry is available to users.

  5. Select Save on the toolbar to save your changes.
