Reports stresses at each node in the model. Also reports the highest stresses and the corresponding nodes. Stresses are not computed at nodes on rigid elements or on structural steel elements. The software calculates stress components according to the piping code. For more information, see Code Stresses in the CAESAR II Quick Reference Guide.

The data fields change based on the piping code.

Multiple Piping Codes

If you analyzed the model with different piping codes, the software creates one stresses report for each code. Each report displays only the elements that were analyzed for the specific piping code.

The software filters the code compliance (pass or fail) check by piping code. If you want to see the compliance status of the entire model, run a Stresses Extended (Legacy) Report.

Offshore and Transportation Codes

The software determines code stress by the largest stress-to-allowable ratio.

ISO 14692

To ensure safe design, FRP pipe (ISO 14692 2005 and ISO 14692 2017) limits axial and hoop stress pairs to those within the allowable failure envelope. ISO 14692 2017 extends the envelope to include negative-value compressive axial stress and includes stress variations related to local shell conditions (hoop bending and axial roping stress). For more information, see the code-specific note ISO-14692.

A negative ratio always means passing criteria.
