After you create and save a template, you can apply this template to your piping models. When you select all the nodes of a feature to create a template, that input feature gets selected when you apply the template to a new piping model. You can clear the selections if you do not want to display all the nodes or elements of the input feature included in a template.
This part of the tutorial shows you how to apply a saved template to a piping model. You can apply a template to a piping model only if the model is not already annotated and the stress Iso file (.iso) associated to the model does not exist.
To apply a template to a new model:
-
Open CAESAR II.
-
Select File > Open.
-
In the Open dialog box, click the Examples button on the right side to open the Examples folder.
-
Select JACKET.C2 from the file list, and then click Open.
-
On the Home tab, click Generate Stress Isometrics to open the model in the C2Isogen module.
-
Select StressIso > Apply Annotation, and then select a template file.
-
Select StressIso > Annotation to view the selections you made while creating the template in the display area.
The previous figure shows that all the nodes listed under Restraint/Hanger types are selected in the new model.
