CADWorx Spec Editor Home tab: Add Table > New Category
Adds a new category to the Data Tables folder in Catalog Data. For more information, see Data Tables folder.
Category
Specifies the component category to be added.
Description
Specifies the description of the category. There are no description restrictions.
When adding a category, the data tables folder must be either empty or missing a category. You cannot add multiple categories of the same component type.

Click the Home tab, and then click New Category in the Add Table panel. Alternatively, right-click Data Tables in Catalog Data, and then select New Category .
The New Category dialog box displays.

Click the Category list, and then select a category to add.

Type a description of the category in the Description box.

Click OK.
The new category adds to the Data Tables folder in Catalog Data.

Click File > Save to save the changes to the catalog.
