You want to have an idea about the types of admin-related roles you want to be able to assign to users. Roles determine what permissions users have in the system and can be used to create different levels of administrators.

For example, maybe you only want a handful of people to be in charge of user management. If that's the case, create a role called something like User Management and grant that role the following permissions:

  • View users

  • Edit users

  • Create users

Then, you can assign the Admin persona with the User Management role to that handful of people. Before you can assign an Admin persona to a user, though, you must have already created one or more roles.

  1. From the left navigation bar, go to Admin roles Admin Roles icon and click Create.

  2. Enter a name and a description for the role. You might need to look up the role name when creating and editing users, so make sure to use something that is clear and concise.

  3. Select the permissions you want to make available to this role.

  4. Click Create.
